James Edward "Shorty" Taylor, 78, of 102 Lloyd Avenue, died Monday October 12, 2009 at Blue Ridge Living Center.

Mr. Taylor was born in Pickens County, SC, a son of the late John Myles and Fannie Gunter Taylor. He retired from Mayfair Mills - Glenwood Plant and was a member of the Easley Masonic Lodge and Jones Avenue Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War Era.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Stokes Taylor, of the home ; two sons, Ed Taylor (Jane), of Walhalla, SC and Charles Taylor (Marietta), of Cooperstown, N.Y. ; a daughter, Missy Waldrop (Robby), of Easley, SC and five grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Missy and Robby Waldrop, 2253 Anderson Highway, Liberty, SC.
