James Arthur "Jimmy" Trotter, Jr.

James Arthur "Jimmy" Trotter, Jr., 75, of 210 Woodberry Circle, husband of Dorothy Seay Trotter, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home.

Born January 8, 1938 in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ethel McKinney Trotter. Mr. Trotter was a proud US Marine and the former owner/operator of the Pumpkintown General Store. He was a retired Machinist with Saco Lowell and later worked for Mid South Textiles and Machinery. He was a longtime member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of fifty years, Mr. Trotter is survived by his son, Art Trotter; brothers, Pete Trotter, Bobby Trotter and John Paul Trotter; and sister, Louise Derrick.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Dr. Keith Shorter and Rev. Woodrow Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
