James L. Vardy

Mr. James L. Vardy, 78, husband of Patricia Elaine Vardy, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Born in Philipsburg, PA, a son of the late William David Vardy and the late Grace Rupert Vardy, Mr. Vardy enjoyed gardening, woodworking, Clemson Football, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Easley.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jack Vardy (Andrea) of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Sherry Head (Jeff) of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen Cummings of Lyman, SC; brother, David (Barbara) of Butler, PA; sisters, Gertrude Saeler (Bob) of Butler, PA, Anna Vardy of Butler, PA; grandchildren, Joshua Head, Brittany Head, Nathan Head, Alex Cummings, Lucas Cummings and Jon Cummings.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a son, Lance Vardy and a son-in-law, Eric Cummings

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Bethesda United Methodist Church prior to service.

The family requests that facial coverings be used.
