James "Jim" O. Vaughn

James "Jim" Oscar Vaughn, 92, loving husband to Jean Bagwell Vaughn, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017, at his home.
Born in Honea Path, a son to the late Vernon Freeman Vaughn and Carrie Gambrell Vaughn, he was retired from BASF in Anderson after 18 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Vaughn proudly served in the US Army during World War II. He loved Gospel music, traveling, and Christmas, but he especially loved his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Jimmy Ray Vaughn, Steve Vaughn (Tammy), and Ricky Patton, all of Belton; brothers, Homer Vaughn of Ridge Springs and Elmer "Red" Vaughn (Sylvia) of Belton; grandchildren, HollyAnna Christian Vaughn, Jessica Vaughn (Kobe), Ashlynn Vaughn, and Madalynn Vaughn; a great-grandchild, Elizabeth Grace Baxley; several nieces; nephews; sisters-in-law, Reba Ellison (James Collins), and Mary Jo Bounds (Tom); and a brother-in-law, Billy Ray Bagwell.
Along with his parents, Mr. Vaughn was predeceased by brothers, Hubert Vaughn, Sr., Furman Vaughn, Bennett Vaughn, and Rueben Vaughn; and a sister, Rachael Vaughn Bagwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Honea Path Church of God. Burial will follow at City of Belton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the church.

The family will be at the home.
