James Daniel Welborn, age 84, husband of the late Gloria Stegall Welborn, passed away on June 11, 2023, in his hometown of Easley, South Carolina. Born on February 9, 1939, James was the son of the late Jay and Lula Welborn.

James dedicated his life to his job at Vulcan Materials in Liberty for many years before retiring. His work was a true reflection of his strong will and dedication.

In his free time, James enjoyed yard work and dining at Jimmy's Restaurant in Easley where he created lots of the happy memories with friends. He was passionate about keeping his yard pristine and took pride in landscaping his garden with beautiful flowers.

James is survived by a son Ricky Welborn; a daughter Vickie Welborn; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 16, 2023, at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley.
