James Herbert White, 83, of Liberty, husband of the late Evalyn Waters White, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born April 10, 1932 in Seneca, he was a son of the late James Robert White and the late Martha Mauldin White. Mr. White was US Army veteran serving in Korea and retired from Saco Lowell in 1997. He was a member of Carolina Community Church.
Mr. White is survived by his sons, James H. White, Jr. and Walter Corey White; daughters, Beverly Turner (Melvin), and Wanda Loggins; sisters, Marian Link, Zadie Hurdt and Doris Brucke; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his children, Ari Carson White and Shelby Duncan; brothers, William Walter White, Eugene White and Robert White; sisters, Alice Edwards, Juanita Todd, Katherine Roach Disher, Ruby Holliday, Edith Kelly and Lois Thompson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
