Mr. James Thomas Wigington, 76, husband of Dana Loveless Wigington, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.

Born in Piedmont, to the late Elihu Wigington, Sr. and Lucile Richey Wigington, James was a graduate of Easley High School and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. He applied his knowledge, of the study, as a civil engineer for J.E. Sirrine until his retirement, and also was a professional land surveyor. James was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, where he was one of the founding members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He loved keeping the spring at Mountain Springs Baptist Church clean and maintained.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 47 years, are a daughter, Rhonda Thompson (Jack) of Piedmont; a son, Jason Wigington (Stacey) of Easley; a brother, Elihu Wigington, Jr. (Bessie) of Piedmont; and five grandchildren, Dorothy Grace Thompson, Jackson Nash Thompson, John Thomas Wigington, Isaiah Nations Wigington, and Presley Jobe Wigington.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, John Robert Wigington, William Frank Wigington, and Charles Richey Wigington; and a sister, Dorothy Wigington Addis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, with the Reverend Mike Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
