James Lewis Williams, 82, husband of Lorraine Wilson Williams, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his residence. A native of Anderson County, he was the son of the late Lewis and Fannie Herron Williams. He was a retired house painter and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his wife he is survived by son: Steve Williams of Anderson; step-daughters, Elaine Pruitt of Anderson and Carolyn Biar and husband Ken of Charleston, SC; brother, Frank Williams of Anderson; sister, Elizabeth Bolt of Anderson; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2pm Wednesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
