James Garrison "Jim" Wilson, Jr. of 219 Hedge Street, Central went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2009. He was the husband of Patricia Duncan Wilson.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of James Garrison Sr. and Cora Bell Wilson. He attended Central High School, Clemson University and Rutledge College. He served eight years in the US Navy and retired from West-Point Stevens in Clemson.

Jim was a long time member of Central Church of God, where he was a musician and formerly served on the pastor's council, as a trustee, elder, director of food bank, senior ministries and Sunday School teacher. He loved his family and his church but most of all he loved his Lord.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Jimmy Wilson and wife, Cheryl of Central, Gerald Wilson and wife, Rebecca of Liberty; daughters, Angela Neeley and husband, Greg of Central and Beverly Dalton and husband, Ken of Pickens; grandchildren Allen, Brad and Andrew Wilson, Tony and Samantha Butler, Amber Wilson, Kayla, Tyler and Lindsey Neeley, Alex and Madison Dalton; and one great-granddaughter, Kadence Wilson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers; two sisters; and one daughter.

Funeral services will be 4 PM, Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
