James G. Winters

James G. Winters, known affectionately as Jim, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on February 19, 1949, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jim was a son of the late Richard and Sophie Walker Winters.

Jim worked numerous jobs from working at KMart - to owning a golf shop. He loved spending his time on the greens playing a round of golf.

He is survived by his brothers, Bert (Sharon) Winters of Anderson, South Carolina; Richard Winters of Newbern, North Carolina; and Henry "Hank" Winters, also of Newbern, North Carolina. Additionally, he leaves behind his beloved sister, Sophie Hart (David) of Clemson, South Carolina, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He also recognized and appreciated the support of his caretaker of two years, Elizabeth Parker.
