Jane Ruth McCarty McAllister, 77, of 348 Claybrooke Drive, wife of the late Leonard G. McAllister, passed away Sunday July 1, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. McAllister was born in Saluda County, SC, a daughter of the late Floyd B. and Mary Ellen Warren McCarty. She was a counselor at Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta and later retired from MCI in Greenville. She was a Baptist.
Surviving are her son, Leonard G. McAllister, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Reba Janis McAllister, of Easley and Vickie McAllister Sherman, of Greer; brothers, Billy Joe McCarty, Robert McCarty and Wayne McCarty; sisters, Kathy McCarty and Georgie Collins; grandchildren, Michael Len McAllister, Graham Elliott Bridges and Christina Sherman Brown and a sister-in-law, Janice McCarty.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll McCarty and a daughter-in-law, Becky McAllister.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday July 6, 2012 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
