Jane Elizabeth Garrick Nicholson, 88, formerly of South E. Street, wife of the late J. Harold Nicholson, Sr., died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at National Health Care of Greer.
Born in Easley she was the daughter of the late David Pickens Garrick, Sr. and Zadie Jamison Garrick. Mrs. Nicholson retired from Swirl, Inc., was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, James Harold "Bud" Nicholson, Jr., (Donna) of Greer; two daughters, Nancy Herman (Barry), and Libby Capps (David), all of Greer; six grandchildren, Richard Littleton, Hal Littleton, Gina Smith, Jan Capps, Alexandra Vogt, Sunshine NIcholson; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Nicholson was predeceased by a brother, D.P. Garrick, Jr.
Funeral services will be 3:00PM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Gina Smith; 200 Water Mill Road; Greer, SC 29650.
Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
