Jane Owens Patterson, 83, of Pelzer Highway, passed away Tuesday September 8, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late James Tilman Owens and Wilhelmina Cooper Owens.
Mrs. Patterson was retired from Amoco (Union Carbide) after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of Piedmont Wesleyan Church. She loved gardening, knitting and most of all fishing with her husband. She was much loved by her family and a friend to all who knew her.
Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Ralph "Pat" Patterson; two daughters, Angela Sluder of Easley and Audrey Woodson (Jack) of Piedmont; a son, Gary Patterson (Linda) of Easley; grandchildren, Pierce, Shelby, Zach, Daisy and Holly; and a brother, Fred Owens.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Leon Owens and Ned Owens.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Patterson's life will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 4:30 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM until 4:15 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Family Life Center of Piedmont Wesleyan Church, 506 Anderson Street Piedmont, SC 29673.
The family will be at the home.
