Janet Marie Homeyer Brammer, 84, wife of Ernest James Brammer, of Clemson, SC, passed away peacefully Friday, April 2, 2021. She was born in Somers Point, New Jersey August 22, 1936, the daughter of Richard Henry and Isabelle Helen Burchards Homeyer.
After graduating from high school, Janet went to Bellevue Hospital in New York City where she received her training to be a registered nurse. Eventually she went to Mt. Sinai Hospital where she primarily worked with premature babies, a job she really enjoyed. After becoming a Mom, Janet learned bookkeeping. She worked for Myron Manufacturing and for Scholastic Press. Janet had fun doing anything related to math. She liked to do sudoku, crossword puzzles, and she loved to read. Janet spent a lot of time doing genealogy, a hobby that brought her much joy.
Janet is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ernest James Brammer of Clemson, SC; daughter, Stacy Gale Brammer Lowe of Greer, SC; two grandchildren, Katie Brianna Lowe and Joshua Brock Lowe; a great granddaughter, Laura Rose; and a brother, Charles Richard Homeyer.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 9 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central, SC. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
