Janet "Jan" Andrews Vaughan

Janet “Jan” Andrews Vaughan, 70, of Easley, South Carolina entered peacefully into her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Willie Herman Andrews and the late Sara Phillips Andrews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Andrews.

Jan, as she was affectionately known, was a retired secretary with Nationwide Insurance Company. She was also a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Jan was a member of Berea Friendship United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, coloring, putting puzzles together, and playing games. She was an avid reader as well. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Jan’s many memories are her husband of 50 years, Andrew Lee Vaughan; her daughter, Diane Vaughan Sentell (Eddie); her sister, Sandra Alms; her two grandchildren that she loved dearly, Patricia Renee Sentell and Wyatt Edward Sentell. Also left to cherish Jan’s memories is her canine companion, My Girl.  

A graveside service to honor the life of Jan will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, in Robinson Memorial Gardens; 1425 Powdersville RD, Easley, SC 29642 with Pastor Devon Harrelson officiating.

Jan’s life touched everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her. Her memories will be cherished for years to come.
