Janet Theresa Merola Phoenix, 66, of 106 Blue Bird Lane, went to be with the Lord Thursday July 24, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Phoenix was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, a daughter of Jennie Pskowski Merola, of East Longmeadow, N.J. and the late John A. Merola, Sr. She was an accounting clerk at Guardian BMA (Builders Mart of America) and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, SC.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, Robert H. Phoenix, Jr., of the home ; two sons, Robert H. Phoenix, III, of Taylors, SC and Steven A. Phoenix, of Atlanta, Georgia ; a daughter, Deborah J. Simmons, of Murphy, NC ; a brother, John A. Merola, Jr., of Westfield, Massachusetts and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday July 30, 2008 in the Chapel at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with Father Emmanuel Andiham, officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
A recitation of the rosary will be 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with visitation following until 8:30 PM.
The family is at the home.
