Janette Burrell Guffee, 85, of 418 Bishop Branch Road and widow of Frank Guffee, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Habersham County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Alford and Cordelia Belle Thomas Burrell. She was a retired employee with J.P. Stevens and a member of Pendleton First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Keenagers Choir.
Surviving are a son, Jimmy "Fish" Guffee and wife, Lyn of Sandy Springs, SC; grandchildren, Brent Guffee and wife, Ashley; Skipper Guffee and wife, Dana; Jamie Thomason; and Ashten Guffee; great-grandchildren, Mayce Thomason; Gage Thomason; Cooper Guffee; Cambel Guffee; Cayson Guffee; Mattison Guffee; and Lucas Guffee; brother, Bill Burrell of McCormick, SC; and Annie Mae Hamrick of Shelby, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gary Lee Guffee.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service at the church.
The family is at the home.
