Janey Elizabeth Dalton Garrett, 96, formerly of Central and widow of Thomas Moore Garrett, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Franklin, TN.
Born in Pickens, County, SC, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Cora Alexander Dalton. She graduated from Oglethorpe University in Georgia, was a retired school teacher and was a member of First Baptist Church of Central.
Surviving are daughters, Lynn Roper of Scottsdale, AR, Grace Burch of Lawrenceville, GA, and Patsy Carter of Spring Hill, TN; sisters, Lois Gaines, Liberty, Mildred Kelley of Honea Path, SC and Carol Gillespie of Lexington, SC; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 AM. Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with burial to follow in Norris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice or to First Baptist Church of Central.
