Janice Beatrice Harris Ellenburg, 85, of 202 Dayton School Road, died peacefully Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at her home.
Born September 20, 1921 in Easley, she was a daughter of the late William and Lola Miller Harris. After graduating from Easley High School, she received a two year degree from Draughons Business College in Greenville.
She married Charles Ellenburg on May 10, 1942 and later became co-owner of Ellenburg Furniture Company and Trophies Unlimited.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Ann French and husband, Bob, of Hobe Sound, Florida, Gail Smith of Easley, Sherri Jones and husband, Bill, of Easley, Charles Ellenburg, Jr., and wife, Vickie, of Simpsonville, Lynette Sefick and husband, Steve, of Clemson, Jan Houston of Greenwood, and Kim Williams and husband, Randy, of Easley; a sister, Dot Treadwell Brett of Madison, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ellenburg was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Willing Workers I Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Private entombment for the family will follow in the Bell Tower Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence at 202 Dayton School Road, Easley, SC 29642.
