Janice Palmer Taylor

Mrs. Janice Palmer Taylor, 65, loving wife of Terry Vasco Taylor, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Palmer, Sr. and the late Minnie Belle Parkman Palmer, Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Winthrop College where she earned her Bachelor's degree in education, and was a social studies teacher at Pickens High School where she retired with forty years of service. She was a member of the Mill Church, Pickens where she was an active volunteer. Janice loved spending her time with her family, church family and volunteering her time at the Dream Center.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of thirty-nine years, are a daughter, Joni Taylor Howard (Jonathan) of Easley; a brother, Tom A. Palmer, Jr. of Parchman, MS; two sisters, June Marie Palmer of Easley, and Kathy Palmer Wilsie of Jacksonville, FL; and two grandchildren, Jack T. Howard and Ella Katherine Howard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by a sister, Donna Jeanne Matthews.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Mill Church, Pickens, SC with Pastor Bryan Holder officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
The family is at the home.
