Janice Brown Tydings

Janice "Jan" Brown Tydings went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

Jan was born March 9, 1946 in High Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dalton "Doc" Brown and Mary Jenkins Brown, and she married William "Bill" R. Tydings November 22, 1972.

Jan was a previous employee of SC Telco Federal Credit Union in Greenville, was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church in Easley for three years, enjoyed quilting and was an avid dog lover.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, William "Bill" R. Tydings; grandchildren, Andy Dickard and Jodi Dickard; 4 great-grandchildren; Also surviving are relatives, including cousins, many special friends, and her church family.

In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannette L. Dickard and 1 great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3:00 PM in Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 601 S. Pendleton Street, Easley, SC 29640, with Rev. Allen Williams, Rev. Dr. Sam Byrum, and Rev. Zach Shaw officiating.   Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley Monday, January 18 at 1:00 PM.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the church.
