Janie Elizabeth McGaha "Nanny" Gilstrap, 94, of Willow Place, formerly of Cedar Circle, wife of the late Wayne Hamilton Gilstrap, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Colonel B and Sadie Modena Brown McGaha, Mrs. Gilstrap was a homemaker and a member of Park Street Baptist Church where she worked with the nursery.

Surviving are two sons, Danny Gilstrap (Patsy) and Jerry Gilstrap (Jan), all of Easley; a sister, Marcelle M. Brooks of Pickens; a daughter-in-law, Judy Gilstrap of Easley; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gilstrap was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Gilstrap, by seven brothers and sisters, by a daughter-in-law, Carol Garrick Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church, 306 Robinson Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the home of Judy Gilstrap, 103 Oak Lane Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
