Janie Louise Ashe Sloan, 71, of 110 Shangrila Drive, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jackson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Reed Ashe and Bonnie Jane Shelton.
Mrs. Sloan was a homemaker and member of Pickens Church Of God.
Surviving are her children, Donna Todd (Harold) of Six Mile, Tina Owens (Charles Hendrix) of Easley and Dixie Ann Poovey of Myrtle Beach; a son, Alvin Bobby Owen, Jr. of Easley; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Pearson (Wayne) of Pickens, Dixie Kay Mickler (Robert) of Tennessee, and Barbara Williams of Alabama; two brothers, Grady Ashe (Ophelia) of Pickens and Charles Ashe (Barbara) of Westminster; a son-in-law, Ronald Thigpen; ex son-in-law, Maurice Pralour of Columbia; and a sister-in-law, Sue Ashe of Greenville.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two husbands, Alvin B. "A.B." Owen and James Theodore Sloan; a daughter, Rhonda Thigpen; a sister, Sarah Ashe; and two brothers, Louie and George Ashe.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will be at their respective homes.
