Jayson Clyde Sargent, 87, of 138 Jewell Road, died Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Hospice House of Anderson.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Jayson Hovey and Dessie Wilson Sargent. He was a retired Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force having served during WWII, and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Elzie, Adger, and Eugene Sargent; and a sister, Essie Thomason. Mr. Sargent was the last member of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Clyde Gravely, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday from 2:30 until 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
