J.B. Alexander, 86, widower of Virginia Loretta Walker Alexander and formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.
Born in Pickens County he was a son of the late Carl Daniel and Mary Pearl Ramey Alexander. He was a retired textile employee, a former member of AFM Lodge 274 and was of the Baptist faith. J.B. was a US Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are a sister, Katie Lee Carter of Pendleton; and nieces, Mary Pearson of Townville and Jenny Smith of Washington, GA.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Grady Alexander and Dewey Alexander; and a sister, Grace Jones.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at 12 Noon, Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
