JD Miller, 86, of Piedmont, South Carolina, passed away on February 10, 2026.
Born on December 29, 1939, in Salem, South Carolina, to the late Dee A. Miller and Oler C. Smith Miller.
He was a dedicated truck driver who traversed the country’s highways, but no journey brought him more joy than those spent with his family. JD had a heart filled with love, especially for his grandchildren, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His granddaughter, Georgia, held a particularly special place in his heart. JD never met a stranger and truly enjoyed connecting with everyone he encountered. He had a compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. JD had a green thumb, and his passion for gardening filled his days with happiness. Traveling and riding around in his truck allowed him to explore the beauty of the world around him, and he embraced every adventure with open arms. Above all, he loved coming home to his loyal dog, Buddy.
JD Miller will be deeply missed, not only by his family but by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, stories, and warm spirit will live on in those he touched, and his legacy of love will endure through his family for generations to come.
JD is survived by his son, John Miller (Becky), of Powdersville, South Carolina; his sister, Vera E. Wood, of Pickens, South Carolina; his grandson, Zacary Miller; and his cherished granddaughter, Georgia Miller. The memories they created together will forever stay alive in their hearts.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, DL A. Miller and BF Miller; and two sisters, Ella Mae Bryce and Eloise M. Grant.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home- Powdersville Road.
Flowers will be accepted.
