Myrna Jean Cox Brewer, 74, of 311 Link Road and wife of Donald W. Brewer, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Terre Haute, IN, she was a daughter of the late Jimmy and Louise Shaffer Cox. She worked as an administrative assistant at various military installations, Clemson University and Pendleton High School. She was a member of the Anderson Senior Follies and Refuge Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Donald A. Brewer (Sharon) of Pendleton and Robert N. Brewer (Donna) of Seneca; daughter, Deborah Sue Finley of Greer; sister, Jerry Brewer of Ocala, FL; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Butch Stanley.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Tuesday at Refuge Baptist Church with Revs. Chad Campbell and Randy Keasler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
