Jean M. Freeman

Mrs. Jean McAlister Freeman, 81, widow of the late Joe McCall "Joe Mac" Freeman, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late James O. McAlister and the late Mary L. Adams McAlister Foster. Mrs. Freeman graduated from Anderson College and retired from Piedmont Natural Gas. She was a Life-Long member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and loved to cook and being with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Jeanna F. Greene of Easley, and Melissa F. Mattison (Ken) of Piedmont; six grandchildren, David F. Greene, Joseph K. "Joey" Freeman, Jr. (Nicki), William G. Greene, Mary-Caroline Labarthe (Bruce), McKenzie Mattison, and Katherine McCall "Katie Mac" Mattison; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph McCall "Joe Mac" Freeman and Alec James Labarthe.
In addition to her beloved husband of 49 years, Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by a son, Joseph K. "Joey" Freeman, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Due to the current COVID-19 health situation and social distancing requirements, those who would like to attend the service are asked to wear protective face masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 309 Pelzer Highway, Easley, SC 29642.
