Jean McConnell Moody, 91, of Marietta, wife of the late Leon Moody, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018.

Born in Marietta, SC, she was a daughter of the late Julius Drake McConnell and Janie Attaway McConnell.

Mrs. Moody retired from J.P. Stevens, Monaghan Plant, after 49 years of dedicated service. She had a strong belief in education, after retirement she returned to school to obtain her GED. Being full of life, she enjoyed riding motorcycles, turning wood into amazing bowls and flying Ultralight planes.

Surviving are her daughters, Kim Moody Jackson (Jeff) of Marietta and Boots Moody Roberts of Easley; a granddaughter, Samantha Roberts; a great grandson, Noah Roberts; and a sister, Maxie Eades of Marietta.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by eight brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge # 5850, Greenville, SC 29601.

The family will be at their respective homes.
