Mrs. Jean Spivey Poore, 84, of Easley, loving wife of Alfred M. Poore, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

Mrs. Poore was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 21, 1931 to the late Hiram and Annis Spivey. She worked for Philco Ford Factory in Indiana and as a hostess in several restaurants and hotels in Florida. Mrs. Poore was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Anderson.

In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Poore is survived by two sons; Freddie D. Lakes and Greg Coons, both of Florida; a daughter; Pamela Jean Wolf of Indiana; two sisters, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Oakwood Baptist Church, 304 Pearman Dairy Rd, Anderson, SC 29625. Interment will follow on Tuesday in Indiana.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday at the Church from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Missionary Fund at Oakwood Baptist Church, 304 Pearman Dairy Rd, Anderson, SC 29625.
