Jeff Davis Steadman, 87, of 103 Pineknob Road, husband of the late Ruth Ann Gilstrap Steadman, died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, the son of the late George and Rosa Lee Turner Steadman, Mr. Steadman retired from the US Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Collins and Patricia Adkins, both of Pickens, and Wanda Merritt of Elizabethton, TN; two sisters, Lucille Marchbanks of Jacksonville, NC, and Geneva Greer of Greenville; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Graceland Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the residence.
