Our beloved Papa, Dad, and husband Jeffrey Lawrence Furst was born on March 1, 1952 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the son of Jack and Ruth Furst, and passed away at his home in Easley on January 29, 2023.

Jeff earned his Associate of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas in Minnesota. He met his wife, Ann Fredrikson, when he was teaching scuba diving and she was his student. They were married in 1976, and two children followed: Heidi Ann (Thompson) in 1981 and Jonathan Karl Furst in 1983.

Jeff worked in sales and marketing for several medical companies for most of his career, taking his family to several different states. He retired in South Carolina, where he enjoyed a few years with his family, who was one of his biggest priorities. In New York he was active in Toastmaster’s and was on the boards of Ithaca Pregnancy Center and The Second Wind organization. In Easley, SC he served on the boards of The Dream Center and Christian Discipleship International.

Jeff and Ann loved to travel to various countries and islands, the most meaningful being his more recent visits to Israel, Myanmar, and Egypt (the latter two being mission trips). He had a deep knowledge of the Bible and enjoyed teaching Bible studies in the different states where he lived.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Furst, children Heidi (Andrew) Thompson, Jonathan Furst (Bethany), and five precious grandchildren: Ada & Shepherd Furst, and Rachel, Jacob, & Lydia Thompson. Also surviving are one sister, Robin (Duane) Ricard, brothers Paul (Sandie) Furst and Alan (Carolyn) Furst.

The funeral service will be held Monday, February 6 at 2:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home, 305 W. Main Street, Easley. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM until the hour of service. Private Interment. The funeral service will be streamed live by visiting Downtown Chapel Livestream.
