Jeremy Cain Thomas, 15, of 291 Heritage Hills Drive, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his home.
Born in Easley, he was the son of Lynn M. Smith of the home and the late Mitchell Sylvester "Mitch" Thomas, Jr. Jeremy was a fantastic guitar player and an avid reader. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving, in addition to his mother are paternal grandparents, Rev. Mitchell "Mickey" and Sandra Thomas of Pumpkintown, maternal grandparents, Bill and Jean Smith of Easley; a special aunt, Leslie Smith of Greenville; best friend, Ben McFarland of Pickens; an aunt, Lisa Pomeroy of Simpsonville; and an uncle, Jake Thomas of Marietta.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Oolenoy Baptist Church with Rev. Derrel Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will be placed in the church at 3:15 PM on Sunday.
The family is at their respective homes.
