Jerome Peter "Jerry" Varga (USAF) Ret.
April 13, 1940 — January 11, 2021
MSgt. Jerome Peter "Jerry" Varga (USAF) Ret., 80, husband of Bille Jo Ostrander Varga, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.
Born in Endicott, NY, a son of the late Joseph Richard Varga and the late Emily Albrechta Varga, Mr. Varga was a graduate of Union Endicott High School and was a retired US Air Force Veteran having served in the Vietnam War and served in Korea. He later retired from Clemson University and was a member of First Assembly of God.
Jerry had a love for the Military and Veterans, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 52.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of twenty-one years, are four sons, Adrian Jerome Varga of Las Vegas, NV, Michael David Varga of Henderson, NV, Stephen Paul Varga (Renee) of Gaithersburg, MD, and Jeremy Brett Varga (Charmagne) of Ithaca, NY; two brothers, Jim Varga of IL, and Bobby Varga of AZ; four grandchildren, McKenna and Brayden Varga, Natalie Hernandez, and Caleb and Logan Varga; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Varga was predeceased by a brother, Tom Varga.
The family will host a memorial service at 6:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at First Assembly of God, Easley.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
