Buddy Morgan
Greenville

Jerone Leroy Morgan, 77, known to his family and friends as "Buddy", left this world peacefully and strolled victoriously into heaven on Sunday, October 6, 2013.

Born the only son of the late Clarence and Mabel Beiers Morgan, Buddy spent more than 50 years doing what he loved, buying and selling cars. He grew a reputation in Greenville for being one of the best used car dealers in town, first, working for his father-in-law, Malcolm Carter, and then later starting his own business, Morgan Leasing and Car Rental. Upon retiring he continued to "piddle with cars", as he called it, but he most loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and they adored their "Papa Bud."

Buddy was a life-long member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church until 1995 when he joined Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, SC. He never minced words when he spoke of his love for his church and his pastor, David Gallamore.

He is survived by his children who loved him dearly, Jerry Morgan, wife Candie; Tammy Morgan Tate, husband Terry; Chris Morgan, wife Kathy; Matthew Morgan, wife Joy; the mother of his children, Terry Carter Morgan; 7 grandchildren, Lindsay Brooke Morgan, Alex Morgan, Carter Morgan, Emily Morgan, Bella Morgan, Sonya Tate Langley, husband Michael; Ryan Tate and wife Whitney; 4 great grandchildren, Samantha and Alyssa Langley, and Cooper and Madelyn Tate. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Miller; husband Jimmy and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 8, from 5-8pm at Robinson's Funeral home, Powdersville Rd., Easley, SC. Services will be Wednesday 11am at Robinson's Funeral home, Powdersville Rd., Easley, SC.

Our family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the Rainey Hospice House for your loving and tender care of our dad and us during this time. We will be forever grateful.

The family is at the residence of Matthew Morgan, 105 Deer Wood, Easley, SC.
