Jerry "Skeeter" Blackston, 62, of 313 I H Taylor Road, died Friday, April 24, 2009.
Born in Greenville County, a son of Colie Blackston of Easley, and the late Mary Stewart Blackston, Mr. Blackston was a U.S Navy veteran and retired from Woolworth Distribution Center in Donaldson Center.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife, Linda Thomas Blackston of the home; two sons, Eric Blackston of Florida and Ryan Blackston of Easley; a daughter Marcia Frick of Piedmont; a brother Stuart Pace of Easley; a granddaughter, Julianna Blackston, a grandson, James L. Brown, and two great-grandsons, James M. Brown and Jayden Brown.
Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
The family is at the residence.
