Jerry M. Burton

Jerry Mays Burton, 67, of 100 Pathfinder Circle, died Monday, January 2, 2006, at his home.
Born in Greenville, Mr. Burton was a son of the late William Ernest and Martha Buchanan Burton. He was a retired sheet metal specialist and was a member of New Vision of Hope. Mr. Burton collected clocks and served in the National Guard.
Surviving are one son, Jerry Wayne Burton, of Greenville, N.C.; four daughters, Joyce Ann Harris, Nancy Lynn Booher, Kimberly Fae Warren, and Patti Lee Grimes, all of Greenville, N.C; six brothers, Bruce Burton of Easley, Milton Burton of Mississippi, Cleve Burton of Greenville, S.C., Mike Burton of Washington D.C., Ricky Burton of Hilton Head and the Reverend Benny Burton of Graniteville, S.C.; two sisters, Mae Pepper, of Anderson and Mildred Ann Lane of Easley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Burton was predeceased by three brothers, Bud, William and Wallace Burton; and one sister, Pat Brown.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Benny Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
