Jerry Durham

Thomas Jerry Durham, 70, of 200 Hollingsworth Drive, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Pickens County, Mr. Durham was a son of the late William Amon and Genevieve Addis Durham. He graduated from Easley High School and retired from Platt-Saco Lowell after more than thirty years of employment. Mr. Durham was a member of Park Street Baptist Church, where he was a former teacher of the Young Mens Sunday School Class and he was a member of the F.A.I.T.H. Team. Mr. Durham played in the Southern Textile Baseball League, and he was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony Lane Durham and David Scott Durham, and his wife, Dianne, all of Easley; a daughter, Dawn Durham Gillespie, and her husband, Brian, of Easley; a brother, Joe Durham of Easley; a sister, Martha Oates and her husband, Robert, of Easley; six grandchildren, Brandon Durham, Brent Gillespie, Zachary Gillespie, Brandi Patterson, Isabel and Olivia Durham; four great-grandchildren, MaKayla and McKenzie Patterson and Jared and Breydon Gillespie; and a brother-in-law, Tommy Stancell of Easley. Mr. Durham was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Patterson Durham, and a brother, David C. Durham.
Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Dr. Alton Nix and the Rev. John Revis officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Escort of Honor will be the Young Mens Sunday School Class of Park Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
