Jerry Edward Hawkins, 67, of Easley, South Carolina, husband of Karen Dawsey, passed away at home on Monday, February 26, 2024. 

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Edward and Annabelle Hawkins. Jerry was an incredibly hard worker as he owned Complete Heating & Cooling. Additionally, he owned H & N Farms with his business partner and friend, Clyde Norris. He grew up at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. His passion for working and farming took up the majority of his time, yet once a year he enjoyed attending the Top Fuel Drag Race in Georgia. Also, he loved watching football and racing on television. He was loved by customers and friends but above all he loved his family. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his bonus son, John Dawsey (Crystal); a bonus daughter Lisa Dawsey Smith (Garrett); a sister Karen Hawkins Boyce (David); a niece, Rachel Boyce King (Jesse); and a nephew Adam Boyce; four bonus grandchildren, J.T. and Ben Dawsey, and Eliana and Amelia Smith; and special friend Corey Cherry.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:15 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will be private in the church cemetery. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680 or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
