Jerry Cole "Jake" Gray, Sr.

Mr. Jerry “Jake” Cole Gray, 89, husband of the late Donna Renee Hudson Gray, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday September 2, 2026.

Born in Six Mile, SC, a son of the late Homer Ray Gray and the late Mary Jane Riggins Gray, Mr. Gray was the retired owner and operator of J.C. Gray Construction & Masonry and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Jake loved the outdoors and working in his garden. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, not only to his friends and family, but anyone in need. His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his two sons, Jerry C. Gray, Jr. (Barbara) of Easley, and Jeffrey L. Gray (Jerilynn) of Liberty; a sister-in-law, Patsy Wilson of Easley; his grandchildren, Alysia G. Ortiz, Zachary C. Gray (Marissa), Grady Cole Gray, Amanda Knight (T.J.) and Daniel Cooper; his great-grandchildren, Eli Ortiz, Austin Clark, Lance Knight and Owen Cole Gray; his beloved dog Cosmo; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gray was predeceased by six brothers, Gary Gray, Ray Gray, David Gray, Wallace Gray, Thomas Gray and Leroy Gray; and his sister, Mildred Brewer.

Graveside services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley with Rev. Dr. Tim Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, prior to the graveside service.
