Jerry Odell Rich, 66, of 100 Kinston Drive, passed away Friday June 1, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Rich was born in Asheboro, NC, a son of the late Junior Odell Rich and Annie Foster Thorpe. He was a graduate of Tabernacle Bible College, was a Baptist minister and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He retired from the textile industry and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving are his son, Stephen Rich and his wife, Candra, of Williamston; a daughter, Tonya Henderson and her husband, Morris, of Easley; brothers, Ricky Rich and Darrell Rich; sisters, Jean King, Linda Robbins, Sue Garner, Bonnie Sheffield and Carol Rich, all of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Kailee Henderson, Belle Rich and Brendan Rich and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Rich.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
