Jerry Donald "Don" Wood

Jerry Donald "Don" Wood, 81, husband of Peggy Loveland Wood, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2022.

Born in Liberty, he was a son of the late Alvin Wood and the late Alta Rampey Wood. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed computers, gardening, fishing, going to the lake, and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Greenville.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Greg Wood (Jacci) of Easley; daughters, Pam Horton (Layne) of Easley and Lynn Smith (Marty) of Powdersville; brothers, Al Wood (Sherion) of Easley and Boyce Wood (Mary) of Powdersville; grandchildren, Jamie Horton, Trey Horton (Leslie), Daniel Horton, Taylor Smith (Rich), Bailey Smith, Camden Smith, Jackson Wood (Paisley), Jenna Wood, and Jonah Wood; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Aiden, Sebastian, and Branley.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday , January 19, 2022 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
