Jesse Franklin "Frankie" Dalton, I, 58, husband of Ellen Withrow Dalton, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in West Virginia, to the late Frank James and Mabel Louise Crookshank Dalton, Jesse was a hard working man who spent most of his life in the construction business. He loved being around family and friends, joking, and having fun any chance he got. Jesse was of the Baptist faith and attended Geer Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jesse F. Dalton, II (Melissa) of Pickens; two daughters, Heather Alley of Pickens, and Katie Dalton of the home; five grandchildren, Johnny Ray Collier, II, Kenneth Franklin Collier, Madison Cheyenne Alley, Braylin Nathaniel White and Carolyn Jade Dalton; two sisters, Brenda Riddle (Melvin), and Kathy Galloway (Rick); twenty seven nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Edward Dalton; and four sisters, Wilda Stout, Barbara Shirley, Lena Maggard, and Linda Glasscock.
Memorial services will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the Reverend Phillip McAllister officiating.
A visitation will be from 2:30 P.M. to 3:45 P.M. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geer Memorial Baptist Church Community Appreciation Day Fund, 911 South 5 Street, Easley, SC 29640.
