Jesse Raymond James, 86, of Easley died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Powdersville, Mr. James was a son of the late Johnny Martin and Elizabeth Raines James. He graduated from Welcome High School and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Mr. James was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara E. James and her husband, Paul O. Howard, of Sanford, NC and Peggy L. James of Dacusville; and a granddaughter, Catherine J. Hendricks. He was predeceased by his wife Ruby Sheriff James; two sons, Jesse R. James, Jr. and Joe D. James; and a brother, Lewis James.
Private committal services will be held prior to the memorial service.
Memorial services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday at Cross Roads Baptist Church where the family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family is at the James Homeplace, 510 James Road, Easley, S.C. 29642.
