Jesse J. Threlkeld, Sr., 71, beloved husband of Kathy L. Edwards Threlkeld, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Born on October 16, 1954, in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, he was a son of the late George Washington and the late Erma Loftis Threlkeld.

Jesse was a loving husband, father, and cherished Papa to his grandchildren. He dedicated his years of service to W. B. Guimarin & Co, demonstrating unwavering dedication, hard work, and professionalism until his retirement. In his free time, Jesse enjoyed trout fishing, loved Myrtle Beach, and watched his favorite American Western television series, Gunsmoke. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on at their sports events, taking great pride and joy in supporting their accomplishments. His love for his family, generous spirit, and steadfast presence will be remembered and treasured by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his daughter, Julie Threlkeld; his three sisters, Claudette Elrod of Ware Shoals, SC, Edith Bryson of Piedmont, SC, and Jane Richards of Alpine, GA; his two grandsons, Ethan Royall and Jesse Threlkeld, III; his granddaughter, Kristina Threlkeld; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jesse J. Threlkeld, Jr.; three brothers and four sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642, officiated by Reverend John Adams.
