Jessie Lee Cobb

Jessie Lee Cobb, of Pendleton, wife of the late Donald Cobb, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023, at her residence and surrounded by her family.  Jessie was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was born in Jonesville, SC on September 26, 1935, to the late Jimmie and Lois Franklin.

“Miss Jessie” was a true blessing to anyone who knew her.  Her strong faith and unconditional love are her legacy.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. 

Jessie is survived by her children, Donnie Cobb (Karen) of Moore, SC, Steve Cobb (Debbie) of Powdersville, SC, Darren Cobb of Forest City, NC, and Tara Byers of Pendleton, SC; and two sisters, Donna Boulware of Chesnee, and Jimmie Vaughn of Jonesville. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.  

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three children; Tim Cobb, Tony Cobb, and Tracy Cobb Scoggins; two brothers, Bobby Gene Franklin and Joe Franklin; two sisters, Willie Rogers and Liz Ivester; and a grandson, Chase.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at The Carpenter's House Church located at 3213 River Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673 from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location at 11:30 AM. A private committal service will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, SC. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Carpenter’s House Church Mission Team, Powdersville, SC.
