Mrs. Jessie Mae Oglesby Posey, 90, wife of the late Ansel Earl Posey, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at her home.


Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Fred and Bonnie Hooper Oglesby, Mrs. Posey retired from Woodside Mills-Liberty Division and was a member of Easley Church of God.


Surviving are a son, Willard Benjamin Posey and his wife Connie of Piedmont; a brother, Fred Oglesby of Easley; three sisters, JoAnn Pike of Mauldin, Ellen Gilbert of Liberty, and Louise Lyda of Easley; six grandchildren, Wanda Kay Buckle, Teresa Dianne Thompson, Ben Posey, Steve Posey, Stephanie Brown, and Krystal Pitts; twelve great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Posey was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Glendola Jones; and two sisters.


Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2016 at Easley Church of God with Rev. Steve Knight officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.


The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM Friday at the church, prior to the service.


Family members are at their respective homes.
