Jessie Beulah Mae Lanning Wood, 79, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her home.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Fred Lanning, Sr. and the late Bertha Bailey Lanning, Jessie retired from Alice Manufacturing - Ellison Plant.
Surviving are one son, Carl Taplin, Jr. of Easley; three daughters, Sandra Anderson (Jamie Burns) of Easley, Paulette Saavedra (Charles Zimmerman) of Liberty, and Teresa Corbin of Belton; one brother, Fred Lanning, Jr. of Greenville; three sisters, Doris Wood of Easley, Jan Payne of Atlanta, and Nancy Donaldson of California; a special friend, Burma Nix; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Jessie was predeceased by a son, Paul Anderson; one brother, three sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
