Jewell Ann Hamby Craig, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
Born in Greer, SC she was a daughter of the late John Andrew Hamby and the late Dorothy Hamby Miller. Jewell was a proud waitress of Waffle House for many years before retiring to live out her golden years with her family by her side. She was known for her kindness and love of children, having raised many over the years. Jewell enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and grandkids and having fun on cruises.
She is survived by her son, Preston "Gene" Burnett (Jackie) of Easley; daughters, Judy Timms of Travelers Rest, Johnnie Craig of Pickens, Janet Allison (Frankie) of Greenville, Pamela Beeman of Piedmont, and Tracy Culpepper (Randy) of Easley; brothers, Sonny Collins of Greer, Kenneth Green of Travelers Rest; sisters, Patsy Burns of Gray Court, Betty Fowler of Piedmont, Nancy Forrest (Brad) of Travelers Rest; along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Johnny Craig, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Simmons; brothers, Johnny Collins, Jerry Collins, David Collins, James Collins, JC Hamby, Butch Miller and Baugh Hamby; and her sisters, Connie Brown and Kathrine Foxworth.
Due to the current health situation concerning COVID-19, there will not be a public visitation with the immediate family present, however friends and family can pay their respects on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.
