James L. "Jim" Brady, 67, of 306 Inverness Way, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his home.

Born in Toccoa, GA, a son of the late James Edwin and Lila Cochran Brady, Mr. Brady was a franchisee of Arby's Restaurants and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Easley, where he belonged to the Couples Serving Christ Sunday School Class and was a former Deacon and had served on the Stewardship Team. Mr. Brady was also a Trustee with the Baptist Health Care System of South Carolina.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Jordan Brady of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy James and Betsy Brady of Powdersville and Steven Ray and Tami Brady of Easley; a brother, Terry Brady of Athens, GA; three grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Brady, Timothy James Brady, Jr., and Deanna Lynn Brady.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams and Rev. Dr. Lloyd Batson officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road and will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM Saturday where the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM in the church narthex.

The Couples Serving Christ Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Escorts.

The family is at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund; 300 East First Avenue; Easley, SC 29640 or to Bethesda United Methodist Church Projector Fund; 516 Piedmont Road; Easley, SC 29642.
